Crusade Scope

Endfall is fought across Mara itself, with Threnos hanging in the balance through a single brutal special event.
Phase 4 uses 11th Edition games. Two deployment and terrain setups are available, each with two primary missions, for a total of four possible games of record in the phase.
Primary scoring for the phase is control of Mara. Threnos remains contested from Phase 3, and the outcome of the Knight Joust will be added to that score.
Secondary scoring is passing Battle-shock tests. Endfall rewards the forces that can keep discipline while the Psychneuein circle overhead.
Thankfully rare, Psychneuein are vile warp entities drawn to the mental emanations of unprotected, badly injured or nascent psykers whose minds they attack for the obscene purpose of gestating their progeny. Psychneuein have been known to evidence various distinct genus, of which the Mara Strain is deemed among the most dangerous.
Phase 4 Battlefield Effect
CHARACTER and PSYKER units have -1 to Ld when taking a Battle-shock test, or -2 if under half strength.
The first failed test for a unit inflicts D3 + 3 mortal wounds on that unit. Once the Psychneuein has fed, it moves on, and any later failed tests do not inflict damage for that unit.
Units wounded by this effect automatically fail Out of Action tests, including all attached units.
Phase 4 rewards those rosters still clawing for traction as Endfall closes over the crusade.
Phase 4 Reward
During a single game of Phase 4, after armies have deployed but before the roll to go first, a player with a losing record in the crusade who has played at least 1 game may declare their opponent their Chosen Nemesis.
For the rest of that game, at the beginning of their player turn, they may place a Nemesis Mark on a single enemy unit. All attacks directed at that unit are +1 to wound.
Only one Nemesis Mark may be active at any time.
Mara is the central battlefield of Endfall, but the fate of Threnos is still contested through a single titanic clash.
The enormous war machines have been dispatched to complete the work on Threnos. The last remnants of the lattice network of archaeotech are being recovered - can Fated Convergence be stopped?
Special Event
The number of control points awarded is based on the number of players in the event.
The winner receives 2 control points per player, while the loser receives 1 control point per player.
Campaign Impact
The Knight Joust does not replace the wider phase battles, but it will help determine what Threnos ultimately becomes when Endfall is done.
The retreat into Mara has hardened into a desperate defense around the rebuilt lattice works. Every approach is now a killing ground, whether the attackers crash directly into prepared lines or hunt through the broken chasms for concealed objectives.
